Sarah Griffiths MBACP
This is Sarah, Sarah is the owner and lead counsellor at safe space counselling, Sarah will be the first point of contact for any counselling queries.
Sarah works integratively with children, young people and adults in schools and private practice, and also offers supervision.
Sarah has had a passion for counselling since receiving counselling as a young person and seeing the benefits it had for her. She believes that everyone should have access to counselling and strives to create a safe, inclusive environment for everyone who uses safe space counselling.
Sarah has experience working with various issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, chronic conditions, life changes, infertility and secondary infertility and stress. Sarah's role prior to counselling was in the educational sector working with SEN, so Sarah has a good understanding of SEN plans and EHCP's and is happy to offer support around this.
Sarah works face-to-face from the office at Easington Colliery, Durham, online via teams and via telephone. Taking that first step can be hard for yourself or for your child, so if you have any questions at all, please reach out and we will be happy to help!
Amy Warlock - Placement counsellor
This is Amy, our placement counsellor in the final year of her studies. She works with children, young people, and adults in an intergrative way.
Amy has a background in holistic therapies, with a focus on offering Reiki energy healing. She aims to provide support for those seeking wellness in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.
She is also a parent carer with experience in Autism and Dyspraxia, and has an understanding of how neurodivergence can impact an entire family. Her reason for choosing a counselling career was due to previous personal struggles and having profoundly deep empathy for others.
She provides a warm and nurturing space for others to explore their thoughts and feelings. This could include uncovering root causes of issues, and challenging negative beliefs. Amy believes counselling should be a collaborative process and can use a variety of tools and techniques for your individual needs. She is available to work face to face, online, or by telephone appointments.
Lyndsey Williams MBACP
This is Lyndsey, Lyndsey is a qualified Counsellor who has worked with Safe Space Counselling since 2022, She works with Young people aged 11 plus and adults. Lyndsey works integratively and uses a range of techniques and models to tailor sessions to meet her clients needs.
Lyndsey is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and offers online, telephone and face to face sessions at our office based in Easington Colliery, County Durham.
Lyndsey has experience working with adults at Lets Connect (mind) and with young people and adults at Safe Space Counselling. Lyndsey works with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, ADHD, family and relational issues, stress and much more.
Lyndsey is down to earth, honest and compassionate and really connects with her clients.
